I was at the hardware store last week, and saw something that may work for the front spoiler lip underneath the front shell.
It was in the gardening department, and was a thick black plastic roll of flower bed edging. I don't know the exact name for the stuff, but it came in several widths, and you use it to separate a flower bed from your lawn.
It was cheap too, may be worth looking in to.
