I have heard about some people doing this. One place is supposed to be big rigs operating in cold country.
The interesting thing to me is looking into the use of LiFePo4 as a replacement for lead acid batteries. We're looking into LiFePo4 for solar applications. They have better life than SLA, weigh less. They are a lot less toxic than the wet Nickel Cadmium batteries my customer prefers. And the power density allows smaller enclosures, which are quite expensive.
