OK last week I replaced the flapper, while it looks great the toilet still is hissing. The ballcock is a Fluidmaster 400 so I bought a replacement seal, this is the seal that goes on top that supposedly stops water from leaking. Put it back together and flushed twice all is good. Fifteen minutes later my wife says it's hissing again ! Sure enough it is, the same as when I started. No leaks on the floor. Could the Fluidmaster be bad ? I was under the impression that this seal is the only working part of the design ? Should I just replace it ?
