Well, I drove a base 2.0T (274 HP and 275 lb ft Tq at 2000 RPM) with a manual transmission. The interior was better than I imagined (nice materials) though not as nice as my 325i. Good sport seats. Steering was nicely weighted, shifter was good though not as slick as a Honda tranny. Plenty of power with just a bit of turbo lag (as mentioned in the reviews).
I liked it more than I thought I would, the base model does not come with a rear wing which is good in my opinion. I also liked the fact that the engine compartment was not a sea of plastic covers but that you can actually see (and work) on the engine. I'd lose the practicality of my four door bimmer, that would be tough.
I'm not going to consider another car until next year which will give me time to think about it.
