Peter Egan Motorcycle Reference Trivia
I am trying to find an article/column/editorial that Peter Egan wrote many years ago and was hoping someone out there had a much better memory (or mastery of google) that what I have.
He wrote a column about one of his friends asking him what was the best motorcycle to buy?
The summary of his answer was:
Buy the one that excites you just to look at in the garage when you go to empty the trash.
British motorcycles all leak oil.
American motorcycles are always falling apart.
Italian motorcycles were never all there to begin with.
And the Japanese don’t build real motorcycles.
(this was many years ago so the PC police were yet to be invented).
Does anyone remember this article? Is it available in any of his books?
Thanks
