Quad Core, HD screen, 2GB of RAM! If one of the "cheapo" tablet used an RK3188, with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 1280 x 800 display, I'd consider it. I bet it would cost around $250!!!

They were going to be for the kids to play/consume media while travelling so didn't need something expensive for them to lose.
