I start having strange problem recently. I am not sure how to make a quick question, so let me describe slowly.

I have cable modem connect to a router. From the router, cable connect to 2 computers and the Ooma phone. Other laptops and phones are connect through Wifi. I have been using it like this for several years without any problem.

Let forget about those devices connect through Wifi and concentrate on the 2 computers connect by cable. One has windows 7 and one is XP. Recently, when the phone in use, or even just ringing, the computer with windows 7 lost internet. Soon the phone is hung up, the internet is back on. The computer XP doesn't have this problem.

I called Ooma. They went through numerous checks and lead me through connecting the phone to the computer and reset the phone system to cope with this computer, no good result.

Cable company don't think they have anything to do with this, but a suggestion is to increase bandwidth; which I don't think it is my problem. 1- the other computer doesn't have this problem. 2- this is the new problem just happen recently.

Anyone encounter this problem?
