Many of us fathers are in the same position as you are with your daughter. Unfortunately not everyone have the heart and strength to make the investment and effort you do. Good for you and even better for your daughter! Very impressive.

I am in a similar position children wise. I also made a promise to myself to reach the finish line in a long athletic race. (As you remind me of Rika - with a picture in your post :-)). I did it and it was the most challenging day in my life both physically and mentally but I am glad I tried. Rooting for you!
