I wonder if -- in ten years -- tangerine and signal orange will be the "guards red" of long hoods?
I can see the ads and hear the commentary: originally burgundy, repainted in "resale orange"....
Bought on "spec" as an investment, I expect it is wisest to go with your well informed sense of the market: orange.
But how original is the rest of the car? If it is sufficiently intact, you might be better served to keep the paint the original color -- possibly keeping the interest of that segment of the market that values originality.
If it is already significantly modified, go with the flash color.
