My experience sleeping in cars has been limited. I remember three of us sleeping in my VW Dasher station wagon in the Squaw Valley ski resort parking lot one winter weekend. It was bitterly cold but with down bags we were fine. I've also slept in the rental car at Le Mans, two years. That's it.
