Anyone saying that the 914 isn't sought after must not be paying attention. Nice driver 4-cylinder 914s that were $4k a few years ago are now $10k cars, and true (not converted) 914-6 are well into the $20k range. I think the early 911 price explosion has helped the value of all classic Porsches.

As for the Boxster, anyone claiming that they aren't good cars frankly doesn't know what the hell they are talking about. I've owned six 911s and one 986 Boxster, it was the funnest of the bunch to drive. For the price that they are selling for right now they are a bargain. The only reason I'm not driving one is my need for more seating, though I'm seriously considering buying a Boxster and a beater sedan/SUV so I have kid hauling room when required. They are fantastic cars.
