Mostly I just BBQ for my wife and I so that is a bit overkill.

I picked up cheap Chinese thing at Home Depot called a SKOL, it actually works pretty well. It has a cone that directs the heat to about a 10' circle in the middle of a 20' round grill, the center gets super hot so I sear for a few minutes there then move off to the edges to finish cooking.

Yes, I know you don't want Chinese and it is already starting to rust AND I don't see them at HD anymore.

All that to say... I also loved my weber (that a co-worker gave me because it was rusted and dinged up, I bought a new grill for it and got another ten years out of it).

So when my cheapo grill dies I will probably go back to weber... unless I can talk my wife into a Chaney
