Yea, I know. Back when we had that conversation the C-17 was just a prototype and the C5 was the workhorse. My dad flew C-124s and I remember fleets of those as well. The point is we had a lot of heavy lift aircraft and could move a lot of equipment fast.
(this is not a C-124)
