Slow? Comparatively, very much so. 68hp and 700lbs will cruise all day at freeway speeds, yes. But for carving mountain roads or the sheer rush of acceleration, probably not the tool of choice as compared to say, my 07 BMW K12S at 167hp and 450 lbs. Different tools for different jobs.
A matter of buying the right bike for your needs. Otherwise you can spend thousands to make a bike do things it will never do well. Exactly why one MUST own several bikes! Wives always understand.
