Ran a few errands on the bike today. A GS is the perfect urban bike imho. Upright riding position, plenty of power, great handling and ABS, plenty of cases (need them if you commute) and big enough to be seen. The V-Stroms are another good choice if you want to spend less money, but you can find used GSs for reasonable prices.
