He is going to try selling it locally for a bit and see if he gets any bites, as it will be a few weeks before I could sneak out there to take possession of it anyways. So right now its a waiting game. I feel like at what I offered I can fix it and still not be upside down in it if I want to flip it come spring time. I've never been into the monsters, but I fell in love with that one. We'll see what happens. I really wasn't looking to buy anything for a few more months truthfully.
The belts are easy as hell, just triple check the alignment notches and the tension....head clearance is virtually non-existent.
Valves are a little more in depth, but still not the crazy difficult job people make it out to be. They also don't go out of spec much. My last valve check, I swapped one closer, but it was still technically in spec.
And leave the belt covers off.....makes it easy to do a quick pre-ride tension check and the belts are part of the allure of these bikes.
