I think your car is sweet - I always wanted a silver T model year '70 (the year I was born). It looks really clean, it looks very inviting, and despite the issues I like the looks of it. I don't think $18k is unreasonable in this market and the best place to start is up and you can ALWAYS go down. If you could fix a few issues (obviously you aren't going to grind off the body work to find the torsion holes), but if some things are made to fit better with real gaskets (or no gaskets), who knows? I don't think $18k is unreasonable....don't get down on any of the comments as you came to the right place to get constructive criticism and that's what you got.
