It's possible to have an inordinate amount of fun with the 928 and/or 944 for very little money.

Mine aren't great, they were cheap, they sit outside, not worth enough money to even carry comprehensive insurance on them. Cheap transport, just the right amount of power, great handling.

Once you get them reliable (takes some patience), turn off the money faucet and drive. Wife and I've put 100,000 miles on sharks in the last 5 years.

Screw the cosmetics, radios, wheels and 10 inch wide rear tires. Drive.

Let others be curators, racers, concours polishers, whatever they want to be and want to invest. I support them.

My game is cheap buy, cheap but reaonably correct repairs, fun transport, great technical collaboration and puzzle fitting, no car payment. So on one level its about me enjoying beating the system, helping others do the same, and not about any given car and its perfectness.
