My Dad and I are restoring his 1971 911E. We are following the tech write up on removing the engine and have hit a snag. We have disconnected everything from the engine including the 2 nuts and 2 bolts connecting the transmission. We have removed the rear bumperettes and valance for better clearance.

We lowered the engine enough to clear the top of the engine. According to the write-up we should be able to pull the engine back and out. The engine moves but will not release from the transmission. What have we missed??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
