Great topic, many interpretations of the question.
For me, I have a particular love/hate with the E Type. I've always liked it but never really appreciated it until I bought that huge book (ref needed) defining all things E Type. They are the Spitfire of the road, all English and monocoque coolness. An epoch defining automobile. Beautiful in a wind tunnel and stunning when you lift the hood. Truly beautiful.
But they are not sympathetic for those who choose to drive them. When I say that, take a look at pics of people driving roadsters. They look silly and too big for the vehicle. Coupes maybe get away with it, but roadsters insult the driver.
I started to wonder what cars make drivers look ok . Observation = All 911's, Cobras, Gullwings. Probably most Ferraris. Lotus. The answer is to position the driver low in the vehicle, at shoulder level.
