yep, it stretches a little when it's new, then it settles down.
if you maintain it correctly by lubing it at the end of a ride, and spraying on about a tenth of what you think it needs, a third as often as you want to...you'll get along fine.

changing gearing is pretty easy too.
yup, my Duc chain is no issue at all.
