The contacts in the switch are probably worn.... There is a rework on here somewhere to fix temp., but its best just to replace the switch (around $40) .... Those switches pop out of the console, Use a flatblade screwdriver and carefully pry the end of the switch housing, make sure you are prying the housing and not the plastic rocker switch top.
