Thanks Slam, I remember that old post. That was right before I changed the strut inserts on my 85.5. I ended up using the cheapest inserts I could. It's almost been 2 years since then and they are still perfect, I love them. Grant it I don't do anything crazy, just daily driving, but they are still great.

The KYB inserts that PP sells doesn't say anything about having to modify the strut to install them, that's what's confusing me. They make it seem like they are a direct replacement. As long as it comes with directions, I should be good.

Oops, I looked at the inserts again and they are listed for up to 86. That's why they don't have the nut on the bottom of the insert.
