Why a B^HGlock? Has she shot one? They work great for some people, not so much for others. I fall in the latter category.

Also, .45 is not the T-rex killer people make it out to be. Yes, it's a big fat heavy bullet, but it's also very slow. Recoil is quite tolerable--I taught my wife's cousins (two 100# Japanese women) to shoot a .45. Of course I built them up to it from a .22, to a .32, then a 9mm, then the .45...but I guarantee your wife could handle it with just a little practice.

Take her to the range, rent a few different brands/models, and then let her choose.
