Most important aspect is shot placement. It doesn't matter how big the bullet is if you cannot hit anything.
For me the fit in my hand is key to being able to hit what I am shooting at. Find something that is comfortable for her. Number of rounds held is a secondary consideration, unless you live in a location which restricts. You do not want to run out before the threat is nutralized.
