Well, the CD playback in the '44 was getting a bit, shall we say poor? So, thought it's about time to actually have a look at the rear speakers....here's one:

I thought blaupunkt equipment was supposed to last! They have only been in since '88 - hardly used!!
Anyway, here are the replacements, a nice shiny set of JBL's:
Went for a drive and all sounds sooooo much better now.
Hit about 75mph when the rubber windscreen (shield) strip decided to come away. Bit scary having that wave around at that speed, so drove home a bit slower - rubber mastic has been applied.
