The tractor is a John Deere EX101. They made five experimental units before deciding not to produce the thing and this is the only one known to exist.
Crowbob, tractor horsepower was reported differently back in the 1930s. Two horsepower measurements were reported, and a lot of tractors were simply referred to by their horsepower figures and didn't have a name. An Oliver 18-27, for instance had 18 pulling horsepower and 27 engine horsepower. Plus, engines ran at about half the speed they do now, so it took a lot of engine to put out a little power.
