Well this has become quite an emotional thread.
Anyway Jagraff if you are ever up in CT let me know. We'll go to the track, or we'll go to an autoX and I'll show you what a modded 951 is all about. Bring your Stang, I always enjoy a challenge. When you leave, you may want to keep your Stang (possible but unlikely) or like the last 4 Mustang owners that were in the car you'll sell your soul to build one just like it.
Now I'll not knock your Stang a close friend of mine used to have a 89' LX 5.0 that while stock always felt a little special in the power and traction department (beat me to 60 every time, after that it wasn't a contest) and I always enjoyed the raw power and easy powerslides. Why didn't I buy a stang? It just feels too cumbersome to me, to big, to sloppy in the controls. At 140 MPH I don't want slop in my controls. At 160 MPH my car doesn't have any. So anyway, my two 951s (a 88' 951S with some mild mods, and an 88' 951 track car) have raw power (different character but its all there, and they each do the most wonderful 3rd gear powerslides.
If its stock its just a Porsche. Same with a Mustang (by your own admission yours has some mild mods). If its done right its something special. IMO the least expensive way to get the kind of performance you want is to buy a 951 or a C5 Corvette, and build it YOUR way.
