Some of them have the same idea of the responses I have recieved and others think I should have just not posted any comments at all as soon as I understood the car was not for me. I am glad I did so I could see first hand what company I would be in if I purchased the vehicle. I know that there are stuck up Corvette owners, as well as Mustang owners, but a Porsche owner that is like that? FYI, I bid on a 951 in an auction but ended up being out bidded in the end. I also bid on and went to see a 944 N/A that looks like a euro turbo. The owner said that he had replaced everything, but the fourth belt loosened and it needed to be replaced. He also told me that it would cost about $3k due to the fact that the engine would have to be pulled and it is a hard task. Is that right, I have no idea. Like you all have come to understand, I didn't even know there was such a car as a 951 before coming on here! I did not come on here to praise my vehicle, since I think the Porsche is a superior vehicle to mine! I came on here to simply find out the Porsche that would give me the high and adrenaline my current car does. I would be willing and able to get a Turbo 951 and do work to it, but I also want to know that it will not break as often as a Jag (I have had two of them and don't want the nightmare again). The reason for not going to a Mustang board was to find out info about the cars you care so much about. I have made a decision to keep my vehicle and get a Porsche. I have the best of both worlds this way. Have a great day people. Rabbit, lighten up and stop using so many ......... I had a hard time understanding what you were getting at. Mic, is the GTR importable?
See ya on the streets.........

Jagraff,
I did/do restoration on British stuff for years, and can safely say that there is NO comparison between your Jag's and the 951. None. Nada. I bought my first Porsche 9 years ago (a 79 924) and my brother still drives it. His maintenance has been very minimal. I now have an 86 951, and heartily agree with the loving posts of the other 951 owners. After seeing the solid engineering of my first German car (an 83 GTI

I was hooked on German cars. They are BUILT! I do know from experience, though that anytime you bump a cars power/handling, you get reduced reliability. How much? Go to the guys that are tracking their cars and ask them for real-world answers. I do hope you get a chance to try out a Turbo, though. I simply feel it is one of the best all-around, bang-for-your-buck, fun-to-own cars out there! Good Luck!
