I should have said 10-40min. Time draining.
It began a few years ago directly after I made some unflattering posts against a foreign country, and has continued since.
The computer is old and pokey and I first suspected RAM issues (which may also be a factor at this point), but loading a simple text web page is pretty lightweight.
Other apps which require much more RAM ran fine.
Usually the old reliable Hard Drive just spins and spins, wearing out, while data continues to be transferred.
User control seems to be last priority...
