Splitting hairs aren't we? More accurately and per your POV, Dixon's left body pod contacted the RR tire held by the crewman which then contacted his left pant leg which forced his leg and attached body into a half-roll trajectory onto another crew member.
IOW, hot pit personnel and NOT drivers are fully responsible for the actions of others while in that area.
Can you apply that logic to this hit as well?
At the very minimum, the Dixon event is open to interpretation.
