check and make sure that you are getting 12 volts at the starter. alot of times the ground wire will corrode and the car will not start.also, the 944 n/a starter will work on a 944 turbo. it is a little larger and heavier but also cheaper and more accesible used. the removal is very easy, 2 19mm bolts hold the starter on and there is 1 8mm nut and 1 13mm nut holding the wires on, 10 minute job at best. good luck!
