Long story, but I've done Ark 3 times this year on a M/C and I live in WA state......Highly recommend both the Pig Trail "Hwy 23" and Hwy 7.....Any roads in between are also great.
I disagree with the opinion about weekends being busy. Did a lot of weekend travel and only slow down was getting behind a few slow trucks on 7 just south of Harrison....
Speaking of Harrison, from there, take Hwy 125 to Peel and then the free ferry across Boal Shoals Lk into Missouri......Head north on Hwy 125 all the way to Rogersville, which is near Springfield.......
On any of these 3 roads, you'll swear someone set the clock back to the 1960's...Eureka Springs and Hot Springs are great towns to explore....Enjoy......
