I think there is a aftermarket flexible coupling which reduces the dangers of a rear end collision and subsequent explosion.

Thanks, I'll add that to the ever expanding list.....along with disc brakes to make sure I'm the hittee rather than the hitter.

I found this car locally 3-4 miles away just like my first Porsche. It too was a nice driver. ......
