Hey Armando,
What I never understood was why Porsche never installed them on the same centerline as that of the seats. I had planned to install a set of reproduction harness mounts into my 914-6 and I spent a fair amount of time deciding where to mount them. I also had a set of seats made that mounted abour an inch closer to the centerline of the car. It's a pain in the butt to get it all figured out but you can have something that works better, if you want to sacrifice a tiny bit of originality.
