I own a 2007 335i convertible. I am devastated due to the fact that this car was my baby up until the paint in the corner by the winshield on the driver side started peeling. At first I thought it was from some pebbles that had chipped my windshield but as it turns out, it's caused by according to BMW something that "tweaked" the top. I have never done anything to hurt the top, in fact, I am so particular with my car, my kids think it's absurd. I brought her for a diagnostic to the dealership and I got the very unexpected news that she needs a whole new top $22,000+ which it is prohibitive to me right now and I could buy a car for that much. They tell me they could adjust it but the adjustment itself could run into the thousands of dollars and eventually it would still need to be replaced. Please, any advice would be appreciated. I was in denial and now I guess I'm accepting I have a convertible I cannot use as a convertible. More like a sedan. Thank you
