In my garage now sits my very own Porsche 911sc. Found a 1980 listed on pelican after a year or so of research and tiresome nights. The gentlemen I purchased it from was a class act and honest through the whole process. I went to South Carolina had a PPI done, at which almost everything was to my level of satisfaction. Me and my Father flew up the night before, as I was waiting on my fathers arrival (different flight) I called the PO up for a hotel recommendation at which point he informed me he also was boarding a flight, and that the car was in the covered parking lot if I wanted to go take an early look. So I darted over to the garage area and began the search for the Black SC that I was certain was destined to be mine the next day. Like I said the car checked out wonderfully and off we started to Texas on what was truly one of the best weekends of my life, riding side by side with my father 1150 miles. The 911 Cruised up to my driveway without even a single hitch where my wife and children waited anxiosly for my arrival. I had originally been turned on by several RSR and the like projects thinking this was what I would want to do in the future. After spending some time with the car I love it just how it is. Ive enjoyed driving it for a few days and have started a few of the minor projects needed to bring the car to a very nice example. Everywhere I go people enjoy and want to share about the car. I have my first Cars and Coffee meet with the car this Saturday. Thanks alot for all the wisdom that floats around this place and I hope to get to know some of you in the future. Not gonna drive the car for the next day or 2 and get some fresh oil in the engine and a few other minor things addressed. Any tips or ideas on things maybe I should start to stock up on or any rookie things to watch for in the early stages of 911 ownership would be appreciative. Planning to make an order for some things from pelican soon and would love some opinions from you all. Jack Pad Shifter Bushings maybe even a short throw along with a few other things are on the list. Thanks again Blake-----sorry for the runons i'm not much of a story teller. Will try and post pics as soon as I can figure it out.
