A test match is the first match you light to light a fire or grill, but it gets blown out before you can actually light anything with the matchm, hence test match. The second match is the regular match that you shield from the wind and actually get the fire lit with. Guess you could use a match to light cricket balls, but seems like a lot of trouble to go to when you can just smash the whole cricket, annoying chirping bustards. Seems there is a much higher incidence of cricket ball lighting if there is a company that is manufacturing cricket balls.
