Guys,
I just finished installing a new HO alternator with new fan & pulley. After a brief test everything seems ok, alternator light no longer on, etc. My issue is the fan belt. I'm pretty sure that the fan/alternator housing is mounted fine, but the fan belt seems a little loose and I'm not using any engine side shims. Has any of you run into this before? I'm using a 10 x 710 belt and it's not old. Does anyone know if a slightly smaller size can be used? And if so, what size? Thanks.
