i personally have eaten a 80's TURBO 911's breakfast lunch and dinner on the track. he would get up on my tail on the straight, then when the hard left happened, i would walk away from him in the twisties thruout the track and then hit the straight, jamming gears, and his turbo would spool up and he'd be right on my azz, hang the hard left again and go thru the twisties again, leaving him far far behind................until the straight..............repeat.
once again for those HARD OF HEARING.................its ALL ABOUT SUSPENSION and TIRES.
i am literally on the edge of full track suspension, a tad rough on the street sometimes, but worth every penny of GRIN FACTOR thru any twisties anywhere anytime. at INDE motorsports, the 2 of us(200 # more weight) could not for the life of us pull anything STOOPID ENUFF to break the azz end loose with BFG R-1's and we tried like hell thru downhill swooper lefts and rights at SPEED!

i think that apple to apple everything cab/targa/coupe and HP/tires/suspension/ driver skill level, the times would be splitting hairs and wouldnt make a damn bit of difference, unless ya wanted to argue the everlasting " my targa/coupe is faster than yer cab" arguement.
and then when ya get spanked by some grey haired old guy..........in a cab............YOU WILL BE EATING CROW POO! and i will be LMFAO!
