I've had varying Medallion status for years. I live in Atlanta so to fly anywhere, it's hard to avoid Delta even if you want to. Problem is...everyone is some level of Medallion. So, odds of upgrades and perks are pretty slim. I'm a "million miler" and platinum medallion and still end up in center seats in the back of the plane pretty often. And you do not get free Crown Room membership with Platinum Medallion as someone indicated above.
