Around town or in cities or towns I go the speed limit or go with the flow of traffic whichever is greater.

On the highways between cities and towns it depends on the traffic. If there is one or more cars near I always drive very politely, not tailgating or cutting anyone off lane changing, and never go more than 8 mph over when passing. The idea is to NOT be labeled as an aggressive driver or worse someone report me via cell phone. When there are no cars near there is no telling how fast I might go as long as it doesn't LOOK aggressive or reckless, ie. crossing lane lines to better apex corners, etc. If I catch up with slower cars, I always lift early enough I don't have to brake to approach and pass at 5 to 8 mph faster than they are traveling. Again the idea is to not look aggressive enough to evoke a cell phone report.

Last Saturday when I passed not only on the right, but on the shoulder two cars that were blocking traffic, that was a very rare action on my part and I would not have taken it if the blockers had not done it for more than 15 miles, be doing only 60 in a 75, and ignored flashing lights and honking from more cars than just me.

Been pulled over 17 times since I started driving Porsches. Only two resulted in a ticket. One was in Texas for speeding and my only crime was passing a pickup truck that was doing 50 in a 70 in the only passing lane for 10 miles. Amazingly the ticket was for 93 and anything over 92 was maximum fine. Coinciedence? I think not. Especially since there was a huge paperwork fiasco that resulted in me paying the fine twice and Texas voiding the ticket as a mistake to keep me from losing my license in Oklahoma. Just felt like I was being fleeced by the Texas Department of Screwing out of state drivers.
