Faded, stained wheels. Brake dust on the back sides of the wheels that has been there forever. Wear to the driver's seat. Scratches and scuffs in the leather. Delaminated backing for the carpet in the rear right jump seat. Faded plastic on the interior that would take 5 minutes to fix. Not my favorite oil filter. Trunk carpet not installed correctly. Nicks in the paint on the drivers side lock post from the seat belt tang hitting the car when he took the belts off.
Etc.
I think if a seller can't be bothered to detail a car for sale, I'll wager that he didn't treat it much better when he drove it. As an example, here are a couple of photos of a 60k mile '86 targa that I wholesaled for $18k a couple of years ago. Note that it is a much more heavily optioned car.
