75 years ago, August 11, 1938, One year before WWII started, Lufthansa inaugurated the world's first non-stop, Berlin to New York, transatlantic passenger flight with the new Focke Wulf 200. The flight distance was over 6000 miles and it took just under 25 hours! The Focke Wulf 200 could carry 26 passengers.
