I must have had a Porsche Angel sitting on my shoulder today at lunch time.
Spending the day in office I decided to take the 'ole girl out for a lunch hour, decompress, spin around the block.
I recently had Aeroquip fuel lines installed and understand the fuel vapor smell coming from them after car sits in the garage. Start the car up, hit some twisties and the faster I go the more I can smell it...until its burning my nose. I had to stop!!
Leave the car running, searching in the trunk, nothing
Look under front where pump is and run my hand along the lines under car, bone dry
Open engine lid...the return line connector is pissing fuel everywhere! Dripping through/down on the heat exchanger and everything
I luckily had a 19mm and was able to tighten the line and all was well....but I was counting my blessings that the thing didn't ignite.
Any recommendations on a fuel safe threadlock!?
