I'm in the process of pricing/buying up-dated technology for my 65 Mustang.
Prices are not too bad for individual bits but..... for instance:

All numbers are approximates
Front disc brakes- $1k
Rear disc brakes-$1K
rack & pinion (non power)-$1k
Coil over front suspension-$3k
Subframe connectors- $500.00ish
Rear coil overs-$1K....I may just tie down the leaf springs & save 5 hundred.
I haven't done any serious shopping for wheels & tires as yet but 2k seems about right.

As you can see the volume of stuff gets to ya and this is just to get the thing to handle/drive worth spit. The really pricy bits are in the driveline. I'll worry about that after I choke down this other stuff.

The good news is that the body work/paint is decent driver quality.....a 10 footer. .....
