15 to 20 years ago I tried a used 911 and it was aircooled. That is as much as I knew about it. It also had a terrific engine and exhaust noise. That many years later I bought the first Porsche in my life - a 2001 Boxster base. It has heated seats, good air conditioning and the performance made me forget about the 911. I don't want to spend huge $$$ on a second hand 911 now. I am happy for now. The later cars have the creature comforts that the earlier ones don't have. Proceed with caution.
