I have been there too. This is the reason.

I pull off the vent hose and put on a plugged piece of hose when I use the Speed Bleeder when doing my brakes.

Its funny but most other manufacturers have sealed systems more or less. They use rubber diapragms built into the cap to allow for pressure equalization when fluid level drops or rises where Porsche allows outside air to come in contact with the fluid via the vent line. I never understood this because it seems like a bad idea.
