I realize this is an older thread. My son and I race karts (he does more than me) and we are very familiar with and used to trail braking into corners to keep the inside rear wheel off the ground - which is necessary because of the solid rear axle. In karting, you generally leave enough speed at turn-in to be able to keep that trail brake going all the way to the apex, then a quick but smooth transition to full throttle at the apex. But, as with the 911, you lift in that turn-in to apex zone, and you'll spin instantly.
This weekend we are doing autox for the first time. I will be in my 912 (my 911 alternator just went south) and he will be in the S2000.
Does anyone here have experience in both karts and autox who can give suggestions on converting the karting techniques to the Porsche?
