But this thread is very timely for me. Like Superman said, the front ends of our cars are pretty light. And so I get very frustrated in AutoX when I brake hard going into a turn and then feed in the gas only to find the car understeering like a pig. Granted, my car has AWD which only makes it worse. But Superman's point suggests that all of our cars will tend to understeer when turning under acceleration. Is Trail Braking an answer to this?

Thats the special thing about these cars. Most describe them as oversteering too easily, but our cars understeer on the gas. Neutral throttle they stick like crazy front and back. Rotation happens really quickly when a car is understeering and then suddenly gets tons of front end grip and suddenly changes direction while the rear continues in the same direction as it was going.
The experts here have advice on how to manage all of this, but basically its about what the car wants, not what you want. You want to get on the gas coming out of a tight corner while still steering and changing direction. Your car will never want to do that, even though it may comply with your wishes just a little bit.
